Well, we are all back into the swing of things: after our well earned holiday, a number of projects are in the queue – so without further ado, let’s see what’s happening…
The resto saga continues with the 59 Split. One day it’ll be nice, and all the work worth it. Whilst below an early 60s rag top is re-assembled. It needed a lot of work, including new heater channels.
This panel van is on a body roller so we can work on the floor. Again, it has had a lot of work doing on it. From its side, to right side up…
As you can see, a lot is being replaced. Cargo floor and nose clip comes next…
A client has comissioned us to make a Samba from this panel van. We are collecting the parts and have all the roof panels ready: follow the conversion here on the Vintage Vans blog.
You might remember my own 55 Oval which was discovered and documented on the blog earlier. Well, wings are stripped, rubbing down of the paint and rust affected areas continues. Inner wings aren’t in bad shape but both rear bumper hangers have had it…
So I ordered two replacement panels from Steve Hook at www.hookyspanelshop.com and will be grafting them in soon. Very impressive quality.
Stay tuned to see how they turn out.
The 1950 Beetle is being sorted out for the road, here’s its rear lights being fitted up. 16 inchers to be sorted soon.
Whilst the Zwitter is getting there too:
And we do share the love with post 67 Beetles, here’s one with its engine out…
Last but not least a client of ours has put his split up for sale. It’s one we restored a while ago to his specs – get in contact if interested:
Anything else? Our holiday was too short. Back to the grindstone.
Take care, all at Vintage Vans.
